The program allows you to insert a Metar, to load it from a disk or from
the Internet and to show his translation in a easily comprehensible language.
There is a database containing all the airports that allows you to easily find
the ICAO airport code. It treats even some particular added information
for the Italian airports. The Metar translation can be associated to a
visualization that offers an immediate comprehension of interesting values.
You can keep under observation more than one Metar.
Integrating by this sofware with Flight Simulator you can see the Metar
close to the plane. It is also possible to transfer the weather conditions
in Flight Simulator 2004 or show the Metars in Google Earth.
The programs allow you to insert a flight plan,
to load it from a disk, print it, save it on a file in
several formats: proprietary text, "Map Source" for Garmin GPS,
"Flight Simulator", "GPX", "Google Earth", "GPS Track Maker", "OziExplorer".
You can automatically calculate the distance, the estimated time and the fuel
consumption for each leg of your flight plan. You can print the Flight Log
for your kneeboard. You can store your preferred and
most frequently used airports and waypoints in a database, to recall them for a quick flight plan
filling. The program can automatically execute the "Metar Reader" program,
search in the Internet for weather forecasts relating to a specific waypoint or the whole
flight plan.
The program allows you to calculate and show the correct holding entry,
introducing the holding inbound course, the aircraft heading and the
holding type.
The program allows you to convert different measure units, choose between several categories.
Insert the value to be converted, select the category and the measure unit. The grid will show the conversions for the whole category’s units.
